The Ann Arbor Area Pastelists invited me to join their group and I am exhibiting with them through Thursday, March 14, at the Ypsilanti District Library, 5577 Whittaker Road.
I supported the VINA Dental Auction on Saturday, February 4 at Cleary University's Johnson Center in Howell through a donation of art and notecards. Go to www.vinadental.org.
From March 7 to April 29, I will show my Millpond pastels at the City of Brighton Arts, Culture and History (CoBACH) Building which is the old city hall on Main Street next to the Millpond. Watch for future information as the date approaches.
Mission, Art and Music will open this year on March 4 with an artists' reception and coffee at 10 a.m. At 5 p.m. will be a concert, and on Saturday, March 24 there will be a swing band and dance for $25. Exhibit closes on March 30 and a portion of the proceeds supports the missions. I look forward to participating with several works...at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 E. Grand River, Brighton.
The Whitmore Lake Portrait Group meets at the Northfield Township Senior Center. I coordinate the group and had the pleasure of donating $150 to the center in January on behalf of WLPG from the funds collected from the artists. Many of the portraits in this Web site come from WLPG. WLPG is also a group page on facebook.
The WLPG will also have a group show at the Cross Pointe Health Center, 2300 Genoa Business Park Drive, Brighton, from March 13 to May 5. Open during health center hours, daily to 10 p.m.
